Kate’s hippie-inspired, carefree brand story is nostalgic of simpler times, like road trips, flower power and not giving a shit. This set the foundation for a creative and funky brand aesthetic that’s non-conforming to the industry – just like Kate.
The retro-look typography feels happy and free, while being confident and professional. The custom-designed flow-y lettering symbolises energy, as well as the ups and downs of business ownership.
The colour palette is bright and sun-shiney, with playful gradients and sharp B+W secondary tones. Hand-drawn 70’s inspired brand elements add interest to the fun-loving brand.
The yin and yang symbol acknowledges the real, everyday problems that women in business face – the tug of war between their personal and professional lives. The kombi-inspired KW monogram is nostalgic for Kate, tying in the brand’s hippie, peace-sign vibes.
